Our dental practice is led by the talented and dedicated Dr. Ricky Alan May. Originally from Salem, VA, Dr. May went to Glenvar High School and Roanoke College before graduating from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2013. Dr. May actively participates in post-graduate courses and training to stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in the field and continuously enhance his skills.
Dr. May is not only an exceptionally skilled dentist, but he’s also a compassionate and attentive listener. He believes in taking the time to understand every patient's unique needs, concerns, and goals before devising a personalized treatment plan that best suits them.

Bringing many years of extensive experience and knowledge to the dental field, Dr. May has dedicated his career to ensuring patient safety and providing quality dental care.
Dr. May received his undergraduate degree from Roanoke College, after which he pursued his passion for dentistry at Virginia Commonwealth University. After running a successful dental practice in Roanoke, VA for several years, Dr. May joined our team in August 2022.
His favorite aspect of working in dentistry is providing long-lasting solutions to dental problems. He finds immense satisfaction in helping patients improve their oral health and witnessing the positive impact it has on their overall quality of life. The relationships Dr. May builds with his patients and team members are equally rewarding. His approachable demeanor, combined with his commitment to quality care, has earned him the trust and respect of both his patients and peers.
Beyond the realms of dentistry, Dr. May enjoys spending time outdoors, golfing, and fishing whenever he gets the opportunity. However, his favorite pastime is enjoying quality moments with his friends and family.
